Howth Road – Arboricultural Assessment

Project Description:

Tree-Space was contracted to carry out an arboricultural assessment for a planning application in a private residence. The proposed development was in the rear garden of an existing house. The project was challenging as there were many mature trees on the site including a 100yr old sycamore on the southern boundary. Many meetings were held between the client, the architect, the landscape architect, and Tree-Space to discover ways to integrate the proposed development. Minimizing tree loss and root disturbance were a priority, however some tree loss was necessary. Mitigation measures were described in the landscape plan and the 100yr old sycamore was retained with minimal root disturbance.
