Station Road Apartments, Portmarnock - Tree Inventory

Station Road Apartments is a gated community slightly southwest of Portmarnock. The management committee at the development expressed an interest in having their tree population assessed and mapped to set up the tree management cycle on the site. Tree-space was contracted to conduct a detailed inventory of the tree population including a tree location map.

The area of the site is approximately 5 hectares. In total 450 individual trees and one tree group were assessed. Eighteen different tree species were identified, the majority in the semi-mature life stage. The current tree canopy coverage is approximately 0.5 hectares or 10% of the total area. The area of the canopy has the potential to increase over time using sustainable tree management practices.

In addition Tree-space developed a Tree Policy for the site to compliment the newly established tree management plan.
